Rain, Power Outage, No Prob! |

Last night in Tewantin and other parts of the Sunshine Coast during the torrential all night rain we experienced a power outage that lasted an hour or so. This morning when I checked our client server monitoring system I found some systems offline, no doubt due to the power outage. However I know these clients systems will be ok as they are protected by Uninteruptible Power Supplies (UPS).
A UPS is a cheap way to keep your server or office or home PC safe from the effects of power outages and surges. With a battery backup they goive you enough time to shut down your PC safely, or if you are away from the system they will automatically safely shut it down for you. From around $140 they are an inexpensive way to protect your office and home equipment.
