Fake Ebay Virus Email PDF Print E-mail
Hi all,

Just a quick warning about a quite realistic Phishing email doing the rounds at the moment that actually caught me out and it was only my virus software that stopped me being infected.

The email purports to be from Ebay and appears to be a Bid Cancellation notification, inviting you to click on any number of links in the message. The links take you to dodgy sites which download spyware and viruses and onto your computer. If you are a regular Ebay user it is quite easy to be fooled by this.

You can see a full copy of the fake email here (it’s quite safe to click this link, it’s just an image):

If you look carefully its actually from This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , not ebay.com.au.

Regards,
nathan
