Join our team! This is a contractor role requiring your own car and ABN. Applicants must live between Maroochydore and Cooroy as we have covered the southern part of the coast already. Our small business focussed Field Engineer contractors provide onsite, offsite and remote technical support to business clients across the Sunshine Coast in all areas of computer support including servers, domains and hosting ,PC and network troubleshooting and repair, backup services, virus removal, broadband provisioning and troubleshooting, upgrades, repairs, new computers, laptops and peripherals.
As a Field Engineer Contractor (Small Business) you will: Provide onsite computer support primarily to business clients but also home/SOHO clients where required
Deliver real solutions to clients in clear language
Promote long term relationships with our clients
Take ownership of each job assigned and see it through to completion
Provide clear documentation of each job
Be friendly, personable, trustworthy, confident with good attention to detail Experience, skills and knowledge:
At least 18 months in a computer troubleshooting role, one year of that focussed on business support
Demonstrated computer troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated knowledge in delivering excellent customer service
Microsoft Server technologies including Server 2003 and 2008, Small Business Server 2003 / 2008, Exchange, Active Directory
Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, MS Office, Outlook via HTTP
Wired and Wireless Networking, ADSL, modems, routers, switches and other broadband technologies
Internet networking including TCP/IP, mail protocols, telnet, port forwarding Relevant qualifications highly regarded but not essential (Cert IV, MCP, MSCE, Degree etc) Own car and ABN essential. Remuneration: Remuneration is provided on a per job basis consisting of a generous percentage of the billed time plus commission on any hardware up-sold.
